Madison Square Boutique

Madison Square Boutique is a New York style boutique located in the heart of Leitchfield, just west of Main Street on West White Oak. The boutique boasts fun, trendy, fashionable clothing for the style-setting women of the area.
The atmosphere of the shop is enough to bring customers back time after time with the added bonus of trendy inexpensive clothing, purses, jewelry and hats.
The free coffee and tea offered is just part of what makes this boutique… the happening place for women in Leitchfield!

Anne Gonzales, owner of Madison Square Boutique, came to this area three years ago with her husband, Dr. Eduardo Gonzales. They both have made Leitchfield their home as the people of the community have made them feel like they have lived here for years.

"The people here have been so very welcoming," said Gonzales, who has lived in New York and Washington, D. C.

She said she found the Leitchfield area had many wonderful little shops, featuring classic items and cute gift ideas for women, but there were no shops that really featured inexpensive, trendy clothing and purses-hence the idea for Madison Square Boutique.

Anne originally helped set up the local hospital gift shop and later transitioned the shop into her own business when it was time to step back and let someone else shine.

Through the hospital gift shop, she developed loyal clientele that followed her to her own boutique. The boutique is located at 202 West White Oak St along with For Myself Florist and Vintage Gifts. The decision to locate her shop here was a no brainer.

She met Kim Higdon of For Myself Florist the first day she visited the area and they became fast friends. Denise Embry moved in with Kim at For Myself and when Anne found out about it, she soon followed suit.

With smaller spaces comes smaller rent, therefore she can offer the hats and other products at a savings to her customers.

"It is my desire to have a shop that anyone can come to, enjoy themselves while shopping and get truly personal service. We offer personalized shopping and help all of our clients accessorize,” said Gonzales. “If you need a special hat for your Sunday dress or your daughter's wedding -bring in your outfit and we will shop for you. The same goes for purses and jewelry. We offer both layaway and 30 day accounts for those who qualify."

On December 15 of last year, the three businesses launched a very successful grand opening... and have not stopped. New product comes in every day. People have transitioned with her from the hospital gift shop and the business has grown quickly.
The product line is mostly American-made products and the supply is limited, making it a more exclusive boutique. "I try not to bring in duplicates of purses, hats or jewelry." The style is strictly New York.

Gonzales invites everyone to stop by for a cup of coffee and a few laughs and to look around at all the wonderful items offered at Madison Square Boutique.
